Introduction

Taconic TLX-8 is a high-performance PTFE microwave substrate reinforced with fiberglass, designed for low layer count RF/microwave applications. Its exceptional mechanical strength and environmental resilience make it ideal for demanding applications, including:
Aerospace (space launches, engine modules)
Defense (warship antennas, radar systems)
Telecommunications (mobile communications, RF components)

/

Key Features of TLX-8

Low & Stable Dielectric Constant (Dk) – 2.55 ± 0.04 @ 1MHz (consistent electrical performance)
Ultra-Low Loss Tangent (Df) – 0.0018 @ 10GHz (minimizes signal loss)
Superior Environmental Resistance – UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, radiation-resistant, and high-temperature tolerant
Exceptional Outgassing Properties – TML: 0.03%, CVCM: 0.00%, WVR: 0.01% (ideal for space/vacuum applications)
Low Moisture Absorption – 0.02% (stable performance in humid conditions)
