IT-180A High-Performance PCB - 4-Layer Rigid PCB with Immersion Gold Finish

1. Introduction of IT-180A

IT-180ATC is a high-performance multifunctional filled epoxy with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 175°C, as determined by DSC. This advanced material offers exceptional thermal reliability and resistance to Conductive Anodic Filament (CAF), making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including compliance with 260°C lead-free assembly processes.

2. Typical Properties

The glass transition temperature (Tg) is 175°C according to DSC.
Compatible with lead-free processes.
Excellent coefficients of thermal expansion: X-Axis ranges from 11 to 13 ppm/°C and Y-Axis from 13 to 15 ppm/°C.
Time to delaminate (copper removed) is 60 minutes at T260 and 20 minutes at T288, measured by TMA.
Dielectric constant (DK) is 4.4 at 1 GHz and 4.5 at 1 MHz.
Dissipation factor (Df) is 0.014 at 1 MHz and 0.015 at 1 GHz.
Outstanding resistance to CAF.
Reliable performance for through-hole connections.
Moisture absorption is 0.1%.
Classified as UL94-V0 for flammability (both laminate and laminated prepreg).

3. PCB Stack-up: 4-layer Rigid PCB
The stack-up consists of four copper layers and two prepreg layers, with the IT-180ATC core being 1.03 mm (40.5 mil) thick.

4. PCB Construction Details
Board dimensions measure 130 mm x 175 mm for six pieces, with a tolerance of ±0.15 mm.
Minimum trace/space is 4/6 mils.
Minimum hole size is 0.2 mm.
Includes blind vias from Layer 1 to Layer 2.
The finished board thickness is 1.6 mm.
Outer layers have a finished copper weight of 1 oz (1.4 mils).
Via plating thickness is 20 µm.
The surface finish is immersion gold.
Top and bottom silkscreens are white.
Top and bottom solder masks are green.
A 100% electrical test is conducted prior to shipment.
Features countersink holes on the top side.
